The International Network of Health Promoting Hospitals & Health Services (HPH) is launching its new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), “Principles and Practices of Health Promotion in Hospitals and Health Services,” on 14 October 2026.
The free online course is designed for health professionals, managers and anyone interested in making health promotion a stronger part of everyday healthcare. Drawing on the knowledge and experience of the international HPH community, the course provides practical knowledge, evidence and tools to help create healthier healthcare settings for patients, staff and communities.
7 modules – from knowledge to practice
Across 7 modules and 7 live webinars, supported by a dedicated e-learning platform, participants will learn from international HPH experts and explore topics including workforce health, behaviour change, health literacy, equity and diversity, age-friendly care, climate impact and health-promoting environments. The course also looks at how health promotion can be embedded into organisational structures and sustained in practice.
Learn flexibly – and connect with international experts
Participants can learn at their own pace using online learning materials and recorded content on the Moodle platform, while the live webinar series provides opportunities to learn from international experts and connect with the HPH community.
The course is delivered in English, is free of charge, and participants who complete the course and final assessment will receive a certificate of completion.
