Climate change is increasingly recognized as the greatest threat to future human health. Being responsible for 5.2% of global greenhouse emissions, the healthcare sector has a role to play in addressing the sustainability challenges at the organizational operational and strategic levels.
The International Hospital Federation’s (IHF) statement on addressing climate change as an integral part of healthcare delivery calls the Federation’s partner organizations to recognize this issue and accelerate the collective action at the global level.
